My hometown is in Fuzhou. It is a southeastern coastal city in China, and the city is close to the sea, so when holidays come, there are often many people heading to the beach, and I often explore the wild beaches around the city with my friends. After the outbreak of COVID-19, the beaches that I once visited, which were once deserted, gradually became popular tourist attractions. I began to see the environment of the once-unvisited beaches deteriorate. The sea opened up to humans and belonged to everyone, but I was saddened by the intrusive and possessive behavior of humans. Seeing the beaches that were becoming commercialized and the trash on them, I couldn't help but feel ashamed when I faced the ocean again.
